The Rising is Looking for a New Pastor

 The Rising is a small Baptist church in Arvada, Colorado (a suburb northwest of Denver) that is searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated new senior pastor to replace our current senior pastor who is retiring later this year after 25 years of devoted service.

We are looking for a pastor who is a strong preacher with good communication, mentoring, and discipleship skills with special emphasis on church growth, pastoral care and helping the poor. 

This is a bi-vocational position that we hope will become full-time in the foreseeable future.

Mission Arvada is a ministry that seeks to minister to the poor, hurting, addicted, marginalized, and homeless of our community.  We take seriously the teaching of Jesus and the command to help those in need.

The Rising Church is currently located in Olde Town Arvada, which serves as Arvada, Colorado's downtown area.  We are a bit north of the light rail station, across the street from the library.

We are looking for a bi-vocational pastor (though we would love to be able to turn this position into a full-time one when our finances allow.)

Our church is currently able to offer a $35,000 salary and benefit package for this position ($35,000 will be the total amount offered for salary, and/or housing, and/or healthcare in the combination that works best for the person coming into the position). We would expect the pastor to work about 28 hours a week.
